Organisational and Board Reviews
Dee is experienced in reviewing the performance of GP Federations and their Boards. Such reviews are in two parts and clients can choose to have both of these reviews or just one.
-
An analysis of organisational performance using Balanced Scorecard methodology and
-
Assessing the performance of the Board against best practice in corporate governance.
These reviews draw on Dee’s knowledge of using Balanced Scorecard methodology to review organisational day-to-day performance from four different perspectives (financial performance, patient and stakeholder experience, process efficiency, and the support and development of new and existing staff) and her knowledge of best practice in corporate governance to provide a framework to assess the individual and collective performance of Board members; and, critically, the Board’s relationship with its key stakeholders, including shareholders and patients. Dee uses different tools and techniques to ensure that key stakeholders have a strong voice in her analysis.
Following the completion of the review(s), Dee produces a user-friendly report which provides clear recommendations for action. This is first discussed with the Board and then key stakeholders. As part of her work, Dee typically then facilitates the creation of a realistic Action Plan and accompanying review programme for the Board. As she says 'there’s no point investing time and money in a review if you’re not going to implement the changes that are agreed'.
Dee has experience as both a Non-Executive Director and a Company Secretary, and has a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance with the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland.
